In partnership with WeBC, this panel event brings together local women entrepreneurs to share their stories, experiences, and perspectives on building businesses and creating opportunities in our communities.
Panelist Bios
Cynthia Robinson
Cynthia Robinson is a member of the Tzeachten Band and Stóō Nation and a longtime entrepreneur and community leader in Chilliwack. She is the founder of Sp’oq’es Entrepreneurs and works as a Business Support Officer with Stó:lō Community Futures, where she supports Indigenous entrepreneurs through mentorship, training, and business development programs.
An entrepreneur since 1987, Cynthia brings decades of experience helping others turn ideas into thriving businesses. Through her work, she is passionate about empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs and supporting economic growth that strengthens families and communities.
Jade Lehti
Jade Lehti is a Chilliwack-based entrepreneur and community builder. She is the owner of The Grand Hall and Hotel Morado, both located in District 1881 in Chilliwack.
As the owner of multiple businesses and a collaborator with several startups, Jade brings experience in operations, partnerships, and business development. She is also the Chair of the Chilliwack Arts Council, where she supports the growth of the region’s arts and creative community.
Through her work, Jade is passionate about creating spaces where people can gather, connect, and celebrate community.
Khatera Karimi
Khatera Karimi is the founder of Beyond Hypnotherapy and a Clinical Hypnotherapist who helps individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions by reconnecting with their inner stability and clarity.
With a background in finance and over a decade of experience in high-performance environments, Khatera understands the pressures many women face both professionally and personally. Her work focuses on nervous system regulation, shifting limiting beliefs, and helping people move from survival mode into self-trust.
She is currently developing workshops designed to support women in grounding themselves, shifting their mindset, and moving forward with confidence in both life and business.
Facilitated by Julia Lamb(she/her)
Julia works at Community Futures South Fraser, supporting local entrepreneurs and community-focused initiatives. Living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2, she brings a strong commitment to equity, access, and inclusion.
