Juno Award winning New York superstar comes home to Chilliwack!

 With bold horn melodies and sultry vocals, Chilliwack’s own Juno Awardwinning Bria Skonberg returns to her home town to celebrate the Chilliwack Cultural Centre’s Ninth Anniversary and kick off our Tenth Season on October 5! A force in the new music scene, she is giving traditional jazz a modern edge in an attempt to relate to a contemporary as well as a traditional audience. Bria Skonberg is a performance you won’t want to miss as she brings her incredibly magnetic trumpet playing skills from New York to The Centre.

“I'm so excited to be coming back home and am honoured to have been asked for the Tenth Season show!  Growing up in Chilliwack with its spirited school programs gave me a love for people and adventure that has led to collecting sounds and stories from all around the globe.” Bria’s excitement for returning to Chilliwack is palpable and she cannot wait to share her music. “I'm looking forward to seeing many friends and sharing these experiences through fun music and more!”
