Celebrate Chilliwack’s thriving art community with The Chilliwack Cultural Centre’s ninth anniversary and Cultural Collaboration!

The Chilliwack Cultural Centre will be hosting numerous organizations within the community, each group showcasing their artistic specialties, while also providing information on the ways you can get involved with the arts within the community.

There will be an incredible array of places to take in the art happening within your community. You can take a walk through the Artist Village, where you will see stunning finished pieces of art, and meet artists and artisans who can explain how they achieve their craft. There will also be a chance to see artists creating beautiful pieces right before your eyes. As well, the Rotary Hall Studio Theatre will be open for a local talent showcase, where a range of artistic disciplines from dance to theatre will be highlighted.

The Art from the Heart sale will also be the perfect opportunity to explore through a selection of finished pieces that you can take home with you. Every piece will be created by students of the Centre, using techniques that they learned through the art classes offered. The unique selection of pieces will be sure to amaze.

The kid favourite annual scavenger hunt also makes a return, giving your kid a chance to explore The Centre and learn more about the space they’re in. Information about The Society’s own art classes for kids will be available, from Magic Mud to Introduction to Anime, there is something to let any child’s imagination run wild. You can even sign them up right on the spot at The Centre Box Office!

After all of that discovering and exploring, one is bound to work up an appetite! Stop by the Hot Dog Stand located out front of The Centre or indulge in complimentary cake and refreshments that are available inside.

Kicking off the Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society’s Presentation Season in the HUB International Theatre at 7:30 pm, will be the Juno Award winning and Chilliwack’s own Bria Skonberg! A true force in the new music scene, there will be no better way to start the fantastic 2019-20 Season and celebrate The Centre’s tenth season than with Bria Skonberg! Tickets are selling fast, so we encourage you to purchase tickets early for shows you really want to see. Check out the website for details on events happening at The Centre throughout the year.
