Clint Hames is an award-winning director turned playwright who knows the stage inside and out. His debut play, Hector, didn't just win Best Original Script at the Provincial Mainstage—it was recently published by Barnes & Noble. As a recognized 'uber achiever' in the arts, Clint crafts stories that are built to be performed, not just read.
In addition, Clint has more than 40 years of experience in community social services. His career includes 17 years as Director of Vocational and Employment Services with a large non-profit organization and 25 years as founder and CEO of Pacific Developmental Pathways, supporting people with disabilities in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
Clint served on Chilliwack City Council starting in 1990 and was Mayor from 1999 to 2008. During his tenure, major projects included Canada Education Park, Heritage Park, the Chilliwack Coliseum, Landing Leisure Pool and the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.
From 2009 to 2018, Clint was a board member of the Canada Lands Company. He remains active in community and university theatre and is an honorary life member of the Chilliwack Players Guild.
