Hear The Voice of Ukraine

On February 21, residents of the Fraser Valley will gather in Central Community Park for Hear the Voice of Ukraine — a public community event marking the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

As the war enters its fourth year, civilians continue to be killed, families displaced, and communities torn apart. Organizers say the event is not only about remembrance, but about ensuring Ukrainian voices are heard — locally and nationally.

The gathering will bring together community members, faith leaders, municipal representatives, humanitarian volunteers, and members of the Ukrainian diaspora for a moment of silence, interfaith prayer, and personal testimony about the ongoing human impact of the war.

“Four years into the full-scale invasion, this war is not history — it is lived reality,” say Iryna Kobets, one of the organizers. “This event creates space for truth, remembrance, and solidarity, and for Canadians to hear directly from those affected.”
